Questions
Good to know before you start.
What counts as a page?
One side of your original document. A two-sided birth certificate is two pages. If you're not sure, enter your best estimate and add a note.
Do I need notarization?
Not always. USCIS generally accepts properly certified translations without notarization. Courts, schools and foreign authorities sometimes ask for it, so check with the office receiving your document. Notarization is , charged once per order, and is required for apostilles.
What is an apostille?
An apostille authenticates a U.S. notarized document for use in countries that belong to the Hague Apostille Convention. We arrange apostilles for certified translations we prepare and have notarized in the United States, charged per document. We don't obtain apostilles for original foreign-issued documents. Standard processing is estimated at and rush at , plus shipping time. Convention membership alone doesn't guarantee acceptance by every receiving office.
Do you need my original document?
No. A clear photo or scan of the original is enough to prepare the translation.
